Taking the stories from our lives and distilling them into anything readable is a challenge for any writer, no matter how skilled they are, but taking them and creating poetry is far more difficult and it's a credit to Mr. Birdsall that he was not only able to do this, but to do it in such a skilled manner. He take the every day and shows it from a new angle where, no matter how ugly it is, it takes on some element of beauty.
